Don’t Let Rattlesnake Season Spring up on you
By: Jamie Jordan
Warmer weather will have us all spending more time outside, including our dogs. With their inquisitive and protective instincts a single encounter with a venomous snake could result in a serious or even fatal injury.
However, there is a way to protect your dogs with the venomous snake vaccine. It works by stimulating their natural immunity, potentially saving their life in the case of a snake bite.
If you suspect your pet has been bitten by a venomous snake, you should seek immediate veterinary attention. Even if your dog has received the venomous snake vaccine, a snake bite is incredibly painful, and medical care is still necessary.
Could your Pet Benefit from Cold Laser Therapy?
Cold Laser Therapy is a treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to accelerate healing in several ways. If your pet has edema (excess fluid in joints or other tissues of the body), a wound, arthritis, or a bone/ligament-tendon injury, then this could have some real health benefits for your pet. The Cold Laser has been proven to have very similar effects to that of many anti-inflammatory medications. It has also been shown to speed up healing in not only soft tissue but bone injuries and joints as well.
Setting up a pain management plan with our veterinary staff is easy. Cold Laser Therapy is offered in a flexible package or as individual sessions to better suit your pet’s specific needs.
